We recommend that if you have a large group of people (of any age) you should book in advance and take advantage of discounted prices that we offer for group bookings. Group bookings are for a minimum of 10 people and run for a total of 2 hours.

The benefits of making a group booking are:

  • A reduced entry fee.
  • A Instructor to run through all the safety work with you at the start, ranging from how to put on a harness through to how to belay.
  • Booking of equipment ready for you to use upon arrival (harnesses and climbing shoes).

Birthday Parties

Under 11 Birthday Parties

Hardrock is pleased to offer you the opportunity of hosting your child's Birthday at our Nunawading venue.

Your children will be under the guidance of our instructors for the duration of their visit. Hardrock instructors handle the ropes (belaying) for your children along with encouraging the children to ensure they have a great time.

Party Room

The Party Room may be hired to use for 1 hour. Parents gain access to the room 1/2 an hour prior to the party finishing to prepare party food and for 1/2 an hour after the party for the children to use. The Hire charge is $50.00 and the party room must be booked at the time of your child's party.

Team Building / Corporate

Team Building / Corporate Bookings

We offer a range of bookings, starting from a 2-hour rock climbing session through to packages which include team building activities, coaching and competitions. A standard booking at Hardrock is $19 per person (for a minimum 10 participants) which includes a 2-hour session, safety instruction and equipment hire.

If you are interested in a more structured session, we offer a Team Building Package with a dedicated Instructor to facilitate activities such as Speed Walls, Blind Fold Climbing and other Team Climbing Challenges. These activities have a large focus on trust and communication and are rewarding for the individual who can set their own climbing goals, and then achieve them with the help of their peers and instructors. The cost for a package including these additional activities is $39 per person (for a minimum 10 participants). We enjoy targeting the activities and the session as a whole to the needs of your group so please don't hesitate to let us know what you might have in mind.

For bookings at our CBD venue we can also offer discounted dining at Captain Melville which is a local bar/restaurant 2 minutes walk from our location. For an additional $20 per person everyone can have a meal and a drink (soft drink or juice) after the climbing session. We also have a conference room at our CBD venue which can be hired out (suitable for groups of up to 12 people).
